I just finished reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. The is my all all time favorite book and I've read it about once a year since I was thirteen. It's a story written in the form of letters from a freshman in high school named Charlie. Generally speaking, it's about him discovering new friends, relationships, drugs, yada yada... everything people usually learn about in high school. But it is written in the most incredibly profound way. If you ever have the chance, it would be a great "experience" to read it. And those of you who have already read it, know what I mean.
Incidentally, I've spent a lot of time with BoyCrazy's friends this weekend. Two words: blasty blast. I really do enjoy getting to know new people especially when they already have a seal of approval from someone I respect. I've never felt so close to people I've known for such a small amount of time. But that probably has a lot to do with lowered levels of inhibition and my need to tell my life story while in that state. Regardless, I'm excited to keep meeting more and more people. And that makes me incredibly optimistic.
On the job side of things, I have a second interview today at the hotel restaurant and I'm hoping to the seal the deal to begin working tomorrow. Unfortunately, I already have to ask off for Friday and Saturday. I'm turning 21 and have made plans with various friends and family. I'm just crossing my fingers that won't make me look too terrible.
Since I'm feeling positive I will leave with this song of the day: Mouthwash by Kate Nash
