I had a very busy weekend. I was offered another job, met a couple of my friend's friends various nights, and The Techie came to visit me! We had tickets for Peer Gynt by Ibsen in Kansas City on Sunday. So he stayed the night with me on Saturday and we had a very relaxing evening.
The play itself is normally 5 acts and takes about 4 and a half hours to perform. This performance was done by the Kansas City Repertory Theatre in 2 acts/2 hours. It was a condensed version and modernized with microphones, unique lighting, and at one point- a movie screen. I don't even know how to explain the play because it was seriously all over the place but I actually enjoyed it. If you want to understand how weird it was click this link and scroll down a bit to the video. It just shows short clips from different scenes and definitely proves my point. http://www.kcrep.org/ Go to 3:12 if you want the really crazy scene (but one of our favorites).
Anyway, it was very hard to say goodbye to The Techie. I've done long distance relationships before and its never easy to part ways after spending time together. Especially when I don't have anything to keep my mind busy just yet. The rest of the day I will probably just be calling businesses to ask if they received my applications. It's not fun, buts its something.
